Laverne Moore

Laverne Moore, age 83, of Bellevue, Nebraska, formerly of the Anita in Cumberland, Iowa areas, passed away Monday afternoon, at the Midlands Community Hospital in Papillion, Nebraska.The daughter of Albert Jacob and Bertha May (Howland) Paul, she was born November 12, 1919 north of Adair, Iowa and grew up northeast of Anita, Iowa. Laverne was united in marriage to Clyde Loren Moore on August 26, 1939 in Red Oak, Iowa. Following marriage they farmed around the Anita and Cumberland areas before moving to Bellevue, Nebraska in 1971. Laverne was a member of St. James United Methodists Church in Bellevue.Surviving are a son, Larry Moore of Bellevue, Nebraska, and a daughter Sharon Steffens and husband Duane of Atlantic; seven grandchildren, Gary Moore and his wife Lisa of Valencia, California, Bill Moore of Bellevue, Nebraska, Nicholas Moore and his wife Carly of Atlantic, Todd Steffens and his wife Julie of Greeley, Colorado, Stacy Socha and her husband David of Council Bluffs, Denny Steffens and his friend Sue of Greeley, Colorado and Tracy Christiansen and her husband Jim of Council Bluffs; 12 great-grandchildren; one niece Connie Edquist of Council Bluffs and one nephew Steven Edquist.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clyde; one sister Lowene Edquist; and a brother-in-law Keith Edquist.Funeral Information
