Caryl enjoyed traveling and visited several places including the United States and abroad. She was able to travel to Israel, Bethlehem, and the pyramids in Egypt with her parents.
She made special pocket prayer quilts with a cross sewn on the inside with a poem attached that she loved to give to anyone she met and also quilts for her family, friends, and also newborns, paying special attention to make each quilt a specialty piece.
