Levon A. McDonald
Levon McDonald, 79 of Red Oak, passed away at the Atlantic Nursing & Rehab Center on Saturday, May 27, 2006 following complications from a stroke.Levon was born the daughter of Salathiel Pearl and Mary Florence Mercer in Council Bluffs, Iowa on May 29, 1926. She grew up in Henderson and graduated from the Red Oak High School. She was employed by the Red Oak Chamber of Commerce, and the Weekly Times. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Red Oak.Levon was married to the late Leonard Marion McDonald of Ewing, Nebraska.Levon is survived by Kay McDonald (daughter) of The Colony, Texas, MAJ Brent and Penny (Gunderson) McDonald (son and daughter-in-law) of San Antonio, Texas and Michelle McDonald (granddaughter) of Angier, North Carolina.Levon's funeral service is set for Monday, at 1:30 P.M., on June 12 at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic. Her family will meet with friends for a visitation on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00.
