Obituary for Edith Marxen

Edith Marxen, was born on January 16, 1928 and grew up in Winterset the daughter of Hugh and Faith Young. She married Wilbur "Bud&" Jake Marxen on December 26, 1945.They moved to Lewis in 1956. Edith worked for "The Lamp Lady&" in Lewis and opened her own shop, "Grandma and Grandpa"s Shop,&" polishing and refinishing brass and copper until they retired in the mid 80"s.Edith enjoyed camping, reading and playing cards with friends and family.Surviving, are two sons and a daughter, Gene Marxen and his wife, Linda of Atlantic, Gary Marxen and his friend, Cheryl of Council Bluffs, Marjorie J. Livingston and her husband, Dana of Lewis, 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services for Edith will be at the Roland Funeral Home on Thursday, March 3, at 2:00 a.m. with burial in the Oakwood Cemetery in Lewis, Iowa.
