Obituary for David L. Linthicum

David Linthicum, 47, of Atlantic, died suddenly at the Cass County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 3, 2005. David was born the son of Earl J. Linthicum and Lillian (Semmons) Linthicum, September 14, 1957 in Maryville, Missouri. He grew up and attended school in Maryville. David was a painter and a roofer for twelve years. He was employed with Witt"s Painting and Signs. His hobbies were very special to him as a fisherman, a hunter and a gardener. His family will especially remember him for his love of animals and for how he always looked after everyone. David is survived by two sisters, Janice Duben and her husband, Francis (Dave) of Atlantic and Julia Daugherty and her husband, Mark of Rock Port, Missouri; two brothers, Russell Linthicum of Syracuse, Nebraska and Steve Linthicum of Atlantic; his nieces, Kristal Fulk and her husband, Jim of Atlantic and Tina Lilly of Shenandoah; his nephews, Brad Smith of Carroll and Kenny Poe of Shenandoah, Jacob Fulk, James Lilly, Russell James Linthicum, Jr. and Patrick James Linthicum of Syracuse; his nieces, Nichole Daugherty, Erica Daugherty, and Michael Daugherty and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and three brothers, Lelund Roy, Earl Jr. and Richard Eugene.A graveside memorial service has been set for Saturday, August 6 at 1:00 p.m. at the Clarinda Cemetery in Clarinda, Iowa.
