Viola Lind

Viola Lind, 97, of the Atlantic area, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center in Atlantic, Iowa. Viola was born south of Atlantic, Iowa on July 14, 1907 to Hiram Augustus and Bessie (Vail) Mott. She attended country school in the rural Atlantic area. Viola was married to Leslie J. Lind on April 18, 1942 in Maryville, Missouri.She loved being at home and enjoying her cats and vegetable and fruit gardening. Her cat, Tommy, was dear to her heart and a constant companion. Viola is survived by her son, Dale Lind and his wife, Dianne of Atlantic, IA and three grandchildren; Adam Lind of Omaha, NE, Amber Lind of Atlantic, IA and Kathy Pickett and her husband, Steve of Manassas, VA and a number of nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie; her daughter, Ruby Lyngstad; two sisters, Pauline Behnken and Lois Anderson; her brother, Bill Mott and one grandson, Noah Lind.Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 10:30 A.M. at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic. Pastor Leon Hodges, of the Zion Lutheran Church of Atlantic, will officiate and the committal will be held in the Atlantic Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at Rolands".
