Lillian Liesener

Lillian Emma Liesener, age 98, of Eldora, Iowa, passed away Monday, April 12, 2004 at the Valley View Nursing Home in Eldora. Lillian was born August 25, 1905 in Adair, Iowa to Herman and Katherine (Wahe) Reimers. She attended country school in Adair County through the 8th grade. Lillian lived the remainder of her life in Iowa also living in the Wiota, Anita, Casey and Stuart areas. In 1932 she was joined in marriage to Vernie Liesener. Lillian was a homemaker and a loving mother to three sons. She enjoyed collecting antiques and loved dogs. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Dexter, Iowa. She is survived by two sons, Robert L. and wife Barbara of Eldora, Iowa and Larry and wife Shirley of Tenstrike, Minnesota; fourteen grandchildren, Robert L. Jr., Vern and wife Kate, Jeffery and wife Christie, Terry Liesener, Kenny Liesener, Larry Liesener, Jr., Lorri Cochran, Lila Mick, Donna Oretweg, Tammy Howard, Dean Brownlee and wife Sue, Donna Luers and husband Pat, Diane Polk and husband Bill and Rita Edwards and husband Noel; two cousins, Shirley Morrison of Earlham, Iowa and David Reimers and wife Barb of Des Moines, Iowa.
