James Larson

James Reginald Larson, age 89, of Atlantic, Iowa passed away Monday, February 11, 2002, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.The son of Frank David and Pearl (Priest) Larson, James was born on May 3, 1912 in Atlantic where he grew up and graduated from Atlantic High School in 1930. He attended Drake University Law School and then graduated from Simpson College in 1934. He was united in marriage to Regina Abbey on December 24, 1935 in Atlantic. He served in the United States Army as First Lieutenant in the Provost Marshal General's office in Washington D.C. during World War II. J.R. was in private law practice for sixty-two years, retiring in December of 1999. He was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in Atlantic, the Cass County Bar Association, the Iowa Bar Association and the American Bar Association.Surviving are his wife Regina Larson; two nephews; one niece and a number of cousins.
