ETHAN LANG Ethan David Lang, 17, of Brandon, Mississippi passed away suddenly in Jackson on Saturday July 5, 2008. Ethan was born the son of David and Bobbette Lang on October 4, 1990 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. He was baptized and confirmed at Ascension Lutheran Church where he was an active member. Ethan was entering his senior year at St. Andrew"s Episcopal School. He enjoyed art and music and was a member of the bands Thunderstagg and Beneath Judecca. He was a free spirit and was happiest when he was with his friends. He is survived by his parents, David and Bobbette; younger sister, Hannah; grandparents, Jerry and Denise Pearson; a great aunt Maxine Scybert of Atlantic; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jack and Dee Lang of Atlantic, Iowa; great-grandfather Hilton Corderman and his great aunt Shirley Lang of Atlantic.Funeral InformationVisitation was 5-7 pm Tuesday at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland, Mississippi and 12:30 pm Wednesday at Ascension Lutheran Church in Jackson, Mississippi. Services were at 2:00 pm Wednesday at the church. An open visitation will be held at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic on Friday afternoon through the evening and Saturday morning until noon. Family and friends will attend a graveside committal service at the Griswold Cemetery at Griswold, Iowa on Saturday, July 12, at 2:00 pm. Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson, Mississippi and Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa are caring for Ethan"s family and the arrangements.
