Terry Lambertsen

Terry Lynn Lambertsen, age 61, of rural Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Monday, September 26, 2005, at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha. Terry Lynn Lambertsen was born in Anita, Iowa, on July 19, 1944. He was the son of Vernon and Betty Jean (Legg) Lambertsen. Terry graduated from the Anita High School, went on to join the Army, served in the Vietnam War, and then was stationed in Fort Monroe, Virginia. He was married in Fort. Monroe to Evelyn Arthurs. The couple then moved to Atlantic, Iowa, where Terry farmed for 40+ years. He and his wife raised three children. He liked to collect all kinds of caps and did big round custom hay baling for nearly 25 years. Terry was a member of the Eagles Lodge # 3763 and the American Legion.He is survived by his wife, Lyn; one son, Robert Lambertsen and wife, Joelle, of Van Meter, Iowa; two daughters, Christina Leighton and husband, Craig, of Griswold, Iowa, and Jennifer Holste and husband, Joe, of Massena, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Ryan DeMaria, Britney and Chelsey Leighton and Daniel, Michael, Nicholas and Jacob Holste; one brother, Keith and wife Joann, of Garwin, Iowa; one sister, Kay Nosekabel and husband, Doyal, of Atlantic, Iowa; two half brothers, Ricky Lambertsen and Todd Lambertsen; and one half sister, Lesa Lambertsen. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Vernon K.
