Minnie Kunze

Minnie Alfreda Johanna Kunze, 90, formerly of Lewis, passed away Monday evening, May 27, 2002, at the Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs.The daughter of Albin and Rosetta Julia (Lofgren) Carlson, Minnie was born October 14, 1911 on a farm two miles south and four miles east of Griswold where she grew up. She was united in marriage to Arnold Kunze on December 4, 1929 at the Albin Carlson home in Griswold and they farmed southeast of Lewis until retiring in 1979. Minnie was a member of the Lewis United Congregational Church.Minnie is survived by one son, Dale A. Kunze and his wife, Dolores, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two grandsons, Douglas Kunze and his wife, Judith , and Danny Kunze, all of Council Bluffs; four great-grandchildren, Mindi, Timothy, Jonathan and Holli; three sisters, Eleanor Freed of Red oak,Iowa, Dorothy Anderson of Exira, Iowa and Margaret Lawson of California. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Arnold Kunze.Funeral InformationServices for Minnie will be held on Friday, May 31, at the Lewis United Congregational Methodist Church 10 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Sharon Guffey-Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery at Lewis, Iowa.
