Kenneth Kirchhoff

Kenneth LaVerne Kirchhoff, 68, of rural Atlantic, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2001, at his home east of Lewis.The son of George Raymond and Lena Irene (Beisser) Kirchhoff, Kenneth was born January 19,1933 on a farm east of Lewis in Bear Grove Township where he grew up and graduated from Lewis High School. He served in the United States Army. On March 10, 1973, he married Connie Marie Kirchhoff at the Lewis United Congregational Methodist Church. He farmed his entire life in Bear Grove Township and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.Surviving are his wife Connie Kirchoff; three children, Kelly Kirchhoff of Omaha, Nebraska, Corey Kirchhoff and wife Laura of Atlantic and Kathi Kirchhoff and her friend Don Holaday of Atlantic; two sisters, Dorothy Wedemeyer and husband Glen of Anita, Iowa and Marjorie Grubbs and husband Bernard of Adair, Iowa; a number of nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Lloyd Kirchhoff.Funeral InformationServices for Kenneth will be held on Friday, January 4, 2002, at 1:30 P.M. at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa with Rev Sharon Guffey-Lewis of the Lewis United Congregational Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
