Darlene Kirchhoff

There will be an open visitation at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa on Friday, July 22, from 8:00 A.M. until the family visitation, which will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Friday evening.
Services for Darlene will be held Saturday afternoon, July 23, at 1:30 P.M. at the First Assembly of God Church in Atlantic with Pastor Guy Fisher officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.


Darlene Kirchhoff, age 78, of rural Atlantic, Iowa, passed away at the Cass County Memorial Hospital on Thursday morning, July 21, 2011.
Lois Darlene Williams was born to John Pat and Nelsie Viola (Christensen) Williams on March 9, 1933 in Viola Township in Audubon County.She grew up in the Atlantic and Lewis areas and graduated from Lewis High School in 1950.On August 1, 1950, Darlene was united in marriage to Delbert Walter Kirchhoff in Lewis, Iowa and following their marriage, they farmed southeast of Lewis and south of Atlantic.Darlene was always involved in her church and neighborhood clubs and served for many years on the hospital auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing and loved to quilt.Darlene also enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and going for car rides.She thoroughly enjoyed accompanying Delbert on seed corn trips. She and Delbert celebrated their 60th anniversary last August.Darlene will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Delbert, of rural Atlantic; children, Darla Conn of Atlantic, Donna Cook and husband Rod of Lewis, Darrell Kirchhoff and wife Becky of Atlantic, Danny Kirchhoff and wife Kim of Lewis, Delilah Heuton and husband Jeff of Atlantic, David Kirchhoff and wife Michele of Lewis, and Dwaine Kirchhoff and wife Jennie of Atlantic; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren with two more on the way. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kirchhoff, brother-in-law, Wayne Kirchhoff, her aunt, Betty Lange, two nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Pat and Nelsie Williams, a sister, Geraldine Williams, parents-in-law, Walter and Marie Kirchhoff and a brother-in-law, Glenn Kirchhoff.
