Pearl Lucille King
Pearl Lucille King, 88, of Atlantic, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2002, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.The daughter of John Samuel and Mathilda Josephine (Nelson) Kaeser, Pearl was born July 25, 1913 in Waukon, Iowa where she grew up, was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church, and graduated from Waukon High School in 1930. Pearl was united in marriage to Kenyon V. King on April 12, 1935, in Waukon, Iowa. She worked as a secretary for the Federal Land Bank in Decorah, Iowa. Pearl was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic, where she was church organist for many years and active in various groups in the church.Pearl is survived by one daughter, Janet King Smith and her husband, Thomas K., of Valparaiso, Indiana; one granddaughter, Debra Smith Bowling and her husband, David R., of Iowa Falls, Iowa; one great-granddaughter, Lauren Rae Bowling; one sister, Mildred Kaeser Osterholz, and her husband, Ralph W., of Waukon, Iowa; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents, J. S. and Mathilda Kaeser; and her husband, Kenyon V. King.Funeral InformationServices for Pearl will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Ron Barnett officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
