Elester King was born on December 18, 1911 in Trenton, Missouri to Edgar and Allie King. He passed away on February 13, 2004 in Atlantic, Iowa he was married to Estalene English on August 6, 1934 they were married nearly 62 years, separated by her death on June 1, 1996.Les served in the Army during World War II, located in France and Germany. He was with the headquarters Company Third Battalion, 137th Infantry and was honorably discharged in November, 1945. Bus was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, FAME Theater Ribbon and Combat Infantryman Badge.Les lived much of his life in Villisca, Iowa until after his marriage to Estalene English on August 6, 1934 in Red Oak, Iowa, when they moved to Atlantic, Iowa he worked for a meat department in grocery stores Villisca and Atlantic and at the Anita Locker Plant.Les is survived by a niece Jane Kinney and husband Charles of Lost Nation, Iowa and nephews Jim Orstad and wife Mae of Indianapolis, and Nick Taylor and wife Carol of Omaha, Nebraska. And many grand nieces and nephews.Les was preceded in the up by his parents, his wife Estalene, his sister Lucille, sisters-in-law Helen Jeffrey and Blanche Taylor.Funeral Information
