John Kimm

John Louis Kimm, 46, of Atlantic passed away Saturday evening, June 23, 2001, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.The son of Silas Edward and Letha Celia (Reinke) Kimm, John was born January 19, 1955, in Grant, Nebraska and grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska. His family moved northwest of Adair in 1965. Don was a dishwasher at the Happy Chef in Adair for a couple of years. He moved to Atlantic in 1980. John was united in marriage to Linda Marie Anderson on May 6, 1988 in Atlantic. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Atlantic.Surviving are his wife Linda; three sisters, Anna Wilson and her husband, Robbie, of Harlan, Elizabeth Schultz and her husband, Mike, of Atlantic, and Dorothy Oliphant and her husband, John, of Atlantic; one brother, David Kimm, and his wife, Charlene, of Atlantic; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Clarence and Edward Kimm.Funeral InformationServices for John were held Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at 10:00AM at the First United Methodist Church in Atlantic, Iowa with Reverend Tompsie Smith officiating.Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery east of Exira, Iowa.
