David Kimm

David Kimm, 64, long time resident of Atlantic, Iowa, passed on on Saturday evening, June 4, 2005, in Atlantic. David Kimm was born on June 23, 1940 in Guthrie County, Iowa, the son of Silas Edward and Letha (Reinke) Kimm. He grew up and was schooled in Lincoln, Nebraska. David was married to Charlene Warnaca in his sister Elizabeth"s home in Atlantic.He will be remembered as a quiet man and always had a smile. He had a heart for his family, especially his nieces and nephews who will treasure the memories of their uncle"s special attentions. David served as a Sergeant in the Army and his family and friends would say that his chief interest was in the military. He was devoted and actively involved in DAV, AMVETS and the American Legion. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. He is survived by three sisters, Anna Wilson and her husband, Robbie of Harlan, Elizabeth Schultz and her husband, Mike of Atlantic and Dorothy Oliphant and her husband, John of Atlantic; one sister-in-law, Linda Kimm of Atlantic and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.David is preceded in death by his wife, Charlene (Warnaca) Kimm; his parents, and three brothers, Clarence, Edward and John.Funeral InformationVisitation: Thurs, Jun 9, 6:30 to 7:30PMFuneral: 6/10/2005, 10:30:00 AM Burial: St John nw of Adair
