Jerald "Jerry" Mallory

Jerald “Jerry” Andrew Mallory, 85, of Anita, Iowa, died Sunday morning, August 20, 2023.

Jerry was born in Omaha and graduated from South High School in 1957.  In 1958, he started his career at Western Electric, working there until his retirement in 1999. He was an active member of his church and a beloved boy scout leader for many years.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Chester; mother, Elaine; stepfather, Robert Moye; brothers, Ken, Jack and Billy; dear son, Kirk Mallory; and grandson, Eric Bertelsen.

Jerry will be loving remembered by his wife, Merrie; brother, James; sister, Rosemary; daughters, Kellie (David) Keele and Elizabeth (Douglas) Avilla; son, J. Douglas (Geri) Mallory; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and countless cousins and friends.

Visitation with the family present will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 25^th at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, August 26^th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, east of Atlantic.  Entombment will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday at the Calvary Cemetery in Omaha.
