Dora L. Jensen
Dora Lea Jensen, longtime Cumberland, Iowa area resident, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at her home in Cumberland at the age of 80.Dora Lea was born April 30, 1926, the daughter of Ermel E. and Lola (Lawrence) Todd, in Bethany, MO. She grew up and attended school in Cumberland where she graduated from high school. The couple proudly raised two sons and later enjoyed the blessings of grandchildren and great grandchildren.She was employed with the City of Cumberland and as office manager with veterinarians, Drs. Bond and Denham. Dora Lea took pleasure in collecting bells and having coffee, in the mornings, with her friends at the Chuck Wagon Restaurant in Cumberland. Her family will remember her accomplishment of being a very special mother and grandmother.Dora Lea is survived by two sons; Larry Jensen and his wife, Jere of Des Moines, IA and Ronald Jensen and his wife, Rozita of Malaysia; five grandchildren, Lonnie, Alyssa, Ashlea, Payton, Peshet; and step grandchildren, Hafez and Ellie Rahman; great-grandchildren, Todd, Tanner and Gabryel; and numerous cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ewalt; in 1989; their daughter, Lana Lea; and parents, Ermel and Lola Todd. Services for Dora Lea will be Saturday, September 23, 1:30 P.M. at the Roland Funeral Home with Pastor Ted Weishaupt of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, south of Wiota, officiating. Interment will be in the Clarinda Cemetery.
