Louise was married September 22, 1942, to Charles Willard Hunt at the First United Presbyterian Church in Atlantic. Louise loved to dance, read, travel, paint and write poetry. Lyrical Iowa honored her talents in poetry with numerous prizes and awards including the Dwight G. McCarty Award for Nature Poetry – First Place for her poem “On Selling an Horizon to Business.”
As an Atlantic resident for 96 years, Louise touched the lives of many people with her sweet smile and kind words. In her younger years, Louise was a Girl Scout and Red Cross volunteer.
