Ethel Hoegh

Ethel M. Hoegh, age 94, A Resident of Heritage House, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2004 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa.That was born September 13, 1909 to Nels Peter and Nena (Esbeck) Clemsen in Audubon County where her family farmed. She attended the Oakfield Township School until the eighth grade. On February 27, 1929, Ethel was joined in marriage to Raymond Nels Hoegh in Atlantic. They farmed west of Brayton and one daughter, Mary Dee, was born to this union. In addition to being a homemaker, she was a seamstress and worked at the Bullocks Fashion Store. Ethel was a charter member of the Oak Hill Helping and Club and she was also a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church.She is survived by her daughter, Mary Dee Thomas and husband Dennis of Atlantic; a brother Lester Clemsen of Atlantic and many nieces and nephews.Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Raymond five sisters and two brothers.Funeral Information
