Austin Hobbs

Austine Hobbs of Houston, Missouri passed away at the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri on September 23, 2007 at the age of 79 years.Austine was born May 20, 1928 in Alexandrea, Illinois to Austin and Lillian (Skaggs) Henderson. She was married to Charles R. Kay in 1943, Donald Spikes in 1945 and to Howard Hobbs in 1958, and to each union a child was born. Austine spent the last 20 years with her partner Roy Dusenbery. She loved watching TV and enjoyed cooking for her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.She is survived by her son, Don Kay of Houston, Missouri; her daughter, Linda Chandler of Atlantic, Iowa; a brother, Jim Florie of Quincy, Illinois and a sister, Sandy Jones of Keokuk, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, step children, Leroy Hobbs, Bob Hobbs, Jack Hobbs and Sharon Scully, and her partner Roy Dusenbery of Houston, Missouri.Austine was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Guymon; her father, Austin Henderson; step father, Bud Florie; all three of her husbands; a son, Charles Kay; three grandchildren, Paul Johnson, Donnie Kay and Bill Kay; a great granddaughter, Pam Kay; a brother, Junie Florie and three sisters, Deloris Meyer, Joyce Guymon and Mary Smith.Funeral InformationIN REMEMBRANCEAustine HobbsBorn May 20, 1928 ~ Alexandrea, IllinoisENTERED INTO RESTSunday, September 23, 2007 79 years, 4 months and 3 daysFUNERAL SERVICEOne Thirty P.M.
