Obituary for Elizabeth Louise Hines

Elizabeth Louise Hines, 83, of Griswold, passed away Monday evening, August 13, 2001, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.The daughter of Gottlieb Henry and Mary Louise (Wohlenhaus) Frank, Elizabeth was born April 3, 1918 southeast of Lyman in Noble Township. She was reared and spent her life in Noble Township where she attended rural school. While growing up she was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Evangelical Reformed Church. Elizabeth married Clair Hines July 23, 1941 at Papillion, Nebraska. Following marriage they farmed in Noble Township. They attended Noble United Methodist Church south of Lyman.Elizabeth is survived by one son Allan Hines and his wife Charlene of Elliott; one daughter Marjorie Froom and her husband Tom of Arlington, Texas; five granddaughters, Cheryl Rand of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Connie Frink and her husband Gary of Emerson, Iowa, Cindy Conn and her husband Joel of Altoona, Iowa, Julie Froom of Arlington, Virginia, and Jennifer Froom of Bangkok, Thailand; five great-grandchildren, Katie Rand, Jolene Frink, Derek Frink, Allyson Conn and Skylar Conn; one brother Louis Frank and his wife Pauline of Atlantic; one sister Ramona Knop and her husband Stanley of Atlantic; and a number of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.Funeral InformationServices for Elizabeth were held Thursday, August 16, 2001, at 1:30PM at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa with Pastor Gerald "Bud" Wiser of the Noble Center United Methodist Church of Lyman officiating.Interment was in the Noble Center Cemetery, Lyman, Iowa.
