Edna Herrick

Edna M. Herrick, 85, a longtime resident of Atlantic, passed away Sunday morning, November 4, 2001, at the Heritage House.The daughter of Joseph A. and Jessie Mae (Lowers) Shaw, she was born October 30, 1916 in Exira, Iowa and grew up in the Audubon and Exira areas. Edna was united in marriage to Robert Edson Herrick on December 7, 1941 in Lewis, Iowa and she was a homemaker throughout her life. She came to know the Lord in 1951.Edna is survived by two sons, Harrison "Skip" Davis and wife Marilyn of Des Moines, Iowa and Jerry Herrick and wife Sharen of Johnston, Iowa; two daughters, Janice Anderson and husband Roger of Ponte Vedra, Florida and Vicki Brown and husband Lyle of Atlantic; fifteen grandchildren, Laureen Kranovich of Des Moines, Shantaz Davis of Texas, Tara Davis of California, Matt Davis of Minnesota, Brad Herrick and wife Diane of Wiota, Lynette Cavin and husband Paul of Johnston, Wade Herrick and wife Michelle of West Des Moines, Evan Anderson and wife Carren and Angie Peters and husband Luke all of Florida. Curt Brown and fiancee, Sally Hesse of West Des Moines, Chris Brown and daughter Shaylee of Atlantic, Jolene Peebles of Atlantic, Christy Bates and husband Doug of Griswold, Lori Petersen and husband Norman "Buke" of Marne and Robin Davis and wife Connie of Las Vegas; twenty-six great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Norma McMahon, Nedra Lacy and Evelyn Johnson all of Atlantic, Bill Shaw and wife Shirley of Audubon, Opal Smith and husband Leslie of Clarion, Jerome Shaw of Washington, Gordon Shaw of Des Moines and Alice Brown and husband Duane of Atlantic; a number of nieces, nephew and cousins; a daughter-in-law Sue of Henderson, Nevada and a former daughter-in-law Cathy Ackerman of Atlantic.She was precded in death by her parents; her husband Robert, a son Don Davis and a brother Garnett"Reed" Shaw.Funeral Information
