Ada Hensley

Ada Hensley Crum and 94 a lifelong resident of Atlantic, passed away on Friday January 3, 2003.The daughter of Thaddeus Edmond and Elsie Luetta (Worth) Prall, Ada was born December 27, 1908, in Atlantic where she grew up and graduated from Atlantic High School in 1926. She was married to Earl Ray Hensley on June 19, 1932 at the First United Methodists Church in Atlantic where Ada was a member since 1918. Ada worked for Swan, Martin and Martin Law office as their secretary. She was a member of Eastern Star for 50 years, the Nishna Valley Shriners Auxiliary, she was a Cub Scout Den mother, and a member of PEO and Esther Circle.He is survived by two sons, Dick Hensley and wife, Carol, of Atlantic and Tom Hensley and wife, Jane, of Kent, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Michael Hensley and wife, Kelly, of Des Moines, Craig Hensley of Blue Springs, Missouri; Todd Hensley and wife, Brooke, of Sioux City Iowa, David Hensley and wife Laura of Iowa City, Paul Hensley and wife, Michele, of Lancaster, Ohio, Brad Hensley and wife, Kristin, of Manhattan Beach, California and Sarah Hensley of Kent, Ohio; 13 great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Noah, Bryanne, Jordan, Logan, Madisyn, Cheyenne Ada, Dakota, Steven, Matthew, Gregory, Tanner and Keaton; three sisters, Valera Mayberry and Bernice Hupp both of Atlantic, and Betty Winterstein of Creston, Iowa and a number of nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, in 1984, five brothers, Earl Raymond, Leo, William, Art, and Clyde R. (Tub) Prall; four sisters, Luetta Mable Prall, Florence Kinnersley, Lorene (Curly) Tracy Beebe and Elsie Lucille Grant.Funeral InformationServices for Ada will be held January 6, 2003 at 10:00AM at the First United Methodist Church in Atlantic, Iowa with Reverend Tompsie Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
