She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, where she joined The Tug Boats and sang in the choir. She also performed in Jaycee musicals.
Jody was married to Tom Henningsen on January 24, 1969. They lived in Atlantic and The Bahamas. She had a love of travel, sailing and was an avid gardener with an abundance of veggies and flowers when summer rolled around. She was "The Hostess with the Mostess" and “First Mate” to husband, Tom.
Jody was an animal lover & her ToJo brought her great joy. She became active in visiting the Atlantic Animal Shelter where she rescued many a dog & cat & volunteered to snuggle and walk homeless pets.
She will be remembered by her family and friends for her generosity, kindness, passion for life and her bright smile!
