Bobbie Eugene Heavner
Bobbie Eugene Heavner, age 74, of Lewis, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011, at the Exira Care Center in Exira, Iowa.
Bobbie Eugene was born on November 29, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Clifford Arp and Maude Armstrong. He attended school in Kansas City and received a GED before joining the United States Navy. Bobbie lived in Kansas City most of his life until moving to Lewis, Iowa. On June 28, 1985, Bobbie was united in marriage to Jackolyn Craig. He was employed as a truck driver for K-Mart. Bobbie enjoyed fishing and he loved to be in his garage and tinker.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie, of Lewis, Iowa; two daughters, Debbie and Dana Heavner; four sons, David, Robert, Mike and Jerry Heavner; step-children, Cindy Buboltz, Linda Norman and Jesse Norman; one brother, Harroll Heavner; grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Bobbie was preceded in death by brothers, Leo, Frank and Charles Heavner; sisters, Cleo Gay and Ellen Engles.
The family of Bobbie is having a gathering in memory of him at the home of Gary & Cindy Buboltz, located at 19575 540th Street, Lewis, Iowa, on Saturday afternoon, December 10, at 1:00 pm.
