Patricia Haupert

Patti Haupert, 42, passed away, surrounded by her loved ones, at Cass County Hospice Center in Atlantic on Saturday, January 08, 2011.Patricia Lynn Westfall was born the daughter of Roy and Maree (Beck) Westfall April 9, 1968 in Denison, Iowa. She attended schools in Atlantic and graduated with the Atlantic High School class of 1986. She managed the Kum-N-Go Convenience Store in Atlantic for many years, until her illness. She was a vivacious young lady and particularly enthused with softball and cooking. She was a fan of the Cooking Network and Gary Larsen's "Far Side" comics. Patti was a strong advocate for Relay for Life for many years. Her family and friends will remember her for always "being there" for others and her wonderful sense of humor. The loves of her life are her daughter Shiann and her cats, Gullover and Lucy. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Atlantic. Her survivors include her daughter Shiann Haupert of Brookings, South Dakota; her mother Maree Westfall of Atlantic; sisters, Cathy (Bill) Dennis of Anita IA, Candi (Tom) McCune of Belleville IL; Cindy (Jeff) Turner of Des Moines IA, Annie (Doug) Castle of Humble TX, and Kim (Cole Powers) Glover of Griswold, IA; her brother Michael Westfall of Atlantic; her special friend Steve Angell; many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; cats, Gullover and Lucy; and many dear friends.She was preceded in passing by her father Roy Westfall; and her grandparents, Maxine and Russell Palmer and Frank and Mary Westfall. Funeral InformationThere will be Open Visitation Monday through Wednesday, January 10th through 12th from 8:00 A.M. until 5:30 P.M. There will be a 6:00 P.M. Rosary and family will meet with relatives and friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday evening at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic. Father Dan Siepker will officiate. Patti's Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 13 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Atlantic. The committal service will be in the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Atlantic.
