Jeff Harris

Jeffery Jay Harris, 22, of Elk Horn, Nebraska, died in rural Atlantic, Tuesday, March 20. Jeff was born the son of Kelly and Deb Harris, on January 7, 1985 in Atlantic, Iowa. He grew up in Atlantic, graduating from Atlantic High School, Class of 2004. He was an employee of Nebraska Machinery in Omaha, NE for the past 3 ½ years. He had a love for the outdoors including, riding his four-wheeler, hunting, fishing, and snowboarding.He is survived by his parents; his brother, Brian Harris and his wife DeLana of Waukee, Iowa; his grandparents, Kay Harris of Atlantic and Janet and Boyd Dolch of Cumberland; his great grandmother, Maxine England, Aunts and Uncles, Max and Terri Dolch of Council Bluffs, Kipp Harris of Atlantic, Kory Harris of Atlantic, Jack and Lori Jensen of Atlantic; cousins including: Nick and Haley Harris, Heather and Kody Harris and Tyler and Spencer Dolch; and special friends, Donald McLaren, Erik Christoffersen, Kyle Rudy, Lindsay Nevins, and Josh Schuler, all of Atlantic and Celie Goettsch of Walnut; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Harris.A visitation will be at the First United Methodist Church in Atlantic, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 25. The funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Atlantic at 10:00 Monday morning, March 26. Pastor Gary DeGeest will officiate. The committal service will be in the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic.
