Eleanor G. Hansen
Eleanor Hansen, long-time resident of Atlantic, passed away Thursday morning, October 25, 2007 at the Heritage House in Atlantic at the age of 98. Eleanor was born to William and Emma (Brehmer) Grulke on August 22, 1909 near Atlantic, Iowa. She attended country school in Cass county and graduated in 1928 from the Atlantic High School then taught school west of Atlantic. On May 25, 1935, Eleanor was married to Clyde Keller in Atlantic. They lived on a farm northeast of Atlantic for 7 years then moved to a farm near Hancock where they lived until Clyde passed away on July 5, 1961. On August 9, 1964, Eleanor married Hans C. Hansen at the United Church of Christ in Atlantic.She is survived by three daughters, Carol Wilson and husband Gerald of Oakland, Ia, Donnis Dressler and husband Gary of Anita, IA and Dorothy Danner and husband Clifford of Knoxville, IA; one son, Larry Keller of Kendall Park, NJ and his friend, Adrienne Lustig: nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, three step grandchildren and a sister Opal Strunge, and nieces and nephews.
