Hazel P. Hall
Hazel Hall, 89, of Wiota went to be with her Lord, Friday, December 8, 2006, at her home.Hazel was born, March 5, 1917 to Peter and Henriette (Ufken) Behnken, in Wiota, Iowa. She attended country school in Franklin Township and was confirmed on August 2, 1931, at First Lutheran Church where she continued to be a faithful member.On November 24, 1937, she married Donald Hall in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Hazel and Donald started farming in 1938 in Cass County.Hazel is survived by her loving husband, Donald, and their three children, Marian Mattheis and her husband Phil of Des Moines, IA, Dennis Hall of Urbandale, IA, and Karen Hargin of Altoona, IA. Survivors also include eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.Hazel will be remembered for her love of family, friends and flowers. Her cookie jar was never empty for the grandchildren and great grandchildren.Visitation will be Sunday evening, December 10, at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, IA. The family will be present from 7:00 to 8:00pm.The funeral will be 10:30am Monday, December 11, at First Lutheran Church south-east of Wiota. Rev. Ted Weishaupt will be officiating.
