Aleva Eleanor Gustin, 85, of Atlantic, passed away Monday, December 16,2002, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.The daughter of Maurice and Emma Mae (Turk) Rimby, Aleva was born June 26, 1917 in North Dakota and attended the Atlantic Community Schools. She was united in marriage to Everett Gustin on November 1, 1956 in LaPlata, Maryland. Aleva was known on the CB radio as "Lady Broncbuster&".Surviving are a niece Linda Retz and her husband Bill and family; cousins, Kenny Turk and wife Betty of Anita, Owen Turk and wife Sandy of Exira, and Rosella Reeves of Omaha; close friends, Randy and Nancy McNeese and family, and Frances Miller and family who lovingly called her "Grandma&".She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother Alfred.Funeral InformationA graveside service for Aleva will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2002, at 1:30 at the Atlantic Cemetery, Atlantic, Iowa, with Rev. Karen Hoff of the Marne Methodist Church officiating.
