Charles Gipple Sr.

Charles "Charlie" Leonard Gipple Sr., 62, a life time resident of Atlantic, Iowa died at his home on Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Charlie was born the son of Kenneth and Jessie (Gaines) Gipple Sr. in Atlantic, on April 17, 1944. He grew up and attended school in Atlantic. He began working with Culligan Plumbing and eventually became self-employed in his own Gipple Plumbing and back hoe business, in which he specialized in dirt work. He served as a fireman for 25 years and derived much of his pleasure in life from the relationship he had with his sons. His family and friends will remember Charlie as a fun, witty individual and as a loving father who exemplified strong work values. Charlie's spontaneous personality will be greatly missed.
