Elsie Gilliland

Elsie Irene Gilliland, 68, a resident of the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2002, at the Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.Elsie was born August 29, 1934 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska where she grew up and attended school. She was united in marriage to Andrew John Gilliland on September 8, 1963 in Rockport, Missouri. They lived in Rockport for several years and later moved to Atlantic in 1967. Elsie worked as a med aide at the Cass County Care Facility in Atlantic. Elsie is survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, great-nieces, great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew John Gilliland on February 19, 1983.Funeral InformationFuneral services for Elsie will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Chuck Smith of the First Baptist Church in Atlantic officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
