Ruby A. Garside
Ruby Anne Garside, 96, passed away February 25, 2005, at Heritage House in Atlantic. She was born April 13, 1908, in rural Iowa near Cumberland, to David and Edith (Read) Weaver. Except for a short time in Missouri as a child, she lived her whole life in Cass County. She attended Anita High School and taught in rural schools before marrying Edwin Garside on March 8, 1928. They farmed for over 40 years in Massena Township. They were proud to have been instrumental in the rural electrification of that part of Iowa.She is survived by her son Larry and his wife Terri, of Reno, NV, and their daughters, Kristie Stake of Elko, NV and Melissa Henley of Reno.
