DELBERT EARL GAINES

Delbert Gaines, of Omaha, Nebraska and formerly of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012, at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha at the age of 74 years.
Delbert Earl was born April 27, 1938 in Atlantic to Bert Earl and Dorothy (Reynolds) Gaines. He went to school in Atlantic graduating with the class of 1956. Delbert attended Tarkio College in Tarkio, Missouri then transferred to the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Delbert was employed as a CPA after college then became a business executive for the company M-Tron Industries in Yankton, South Dakota. Later in life, Delbert moved to Wichita, Kansas where he worked in auto sales.
He is survived by his children, Kris (Kevin) York of Omaha, NE, Dana (Reid) Smith of Las Vegas, NV, Todd (Laura) Gaines of Omaha, NE, Vicki (Steve) Lyman of San Diego, CA, Kelly Gaines and Nick (Angela) Gaines of Branson, MO; siblings, Sheryl Fuss of Inman, KS, Pam (John) Hudson of Las Vegas, NV, James "Pete" (Jan) Gaines of South Bend, IN, Rollin (Sue) Gaines of Las Vegas, NV and Kim Quick of Wichita, KS; seven grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Dorothy Gaines.
