Obituary for
Pauline H. Frank
Pauline was born to LeRoy and Bertha Stakey in Massena, Iowa on August 19, 1928. She attended school in Massena, graduating in 1946. On July 6, 1946 she was united in marriage to Louis Frank at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Together they farmed in the Cumberland and Massena areas until Louis retired in 2001. Pauline worked at Cumberland Savings Bank, later Houghton State Bank, for over 30 years. In 1979 they moved to Atlantic, where they resided until 2006 when they moved to a senior living community in Bettendorf, IA to be closer to their children. Three children were born to this marriage, twin sons, Gene and Gerald and daughter, Kathleen. Pauline is survived by her husband of over 61 years, Louis; sons, Gene of Bettendorf, Gerald and his wife Kristen of Sioux Falls, SD, and daughter, Kathleen Lohr and her husband, Bob, of Columbus, Ohio; Grandchildren, Kaia Downing, her husband, Brad, and daughters, Shea and Nissa of Sioux City, IA, Derek Frank, his wife, Coreen, and children, Hailey, and Tyler, of Coralville, IA and Summer Ressler, her husband Travis, of Columbus, Ohio and three sisters-in-law, Ramona Knop of Atlantic, Helen Stakey of Anita, and Shirley Stakey of Story City; and many nieces and nephews. Pauline was proceeded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Bertha Stakey, of Massena; brothers, Leo of Anita and Marvin of Story City, sister-in-law, Elizabeth and her husband, Clair Hines of Griswold, and brother-in-law, Stanley Knop of Atlantic.Funeral InformationFuneral services for Pauline will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at St. John's United Church of Christ south of Lyman with Pastor Jim Hansen officiating.
