Clifford Eslick

Clifford Marion Eslick, 73, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Monday, July 29, 2002, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.The son of Marion Wesley and Elsie Mary (Chaussee) Eslick, Clifford was born on July 16, 1929 in Sioux City, Iowa where he grew up and graduated in 1947 from Central High School in Sioux City. He was united in marriage to Donna Watchorn on May 5, 1962 in Ponca, Nebraska. Clifford had worked as a foreman and tool and die maker for Concrete Pipe and Machinery in Sioux City. The last number of years he was a sales representative for MSC and for Valeron Machinery in Omaha. Clifford was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic. His hobbies included fishing, camping and carpentry.Clifford is survived by his wife, Donna Eslick of Atlantic; four daughters, Sue Abbe and husband, Mike, of Sioux City, Lori Preston and husband, Mark, of Treynor, Mary Groves and husband, Brett, of Greenfield and Michelle Burton of Atlantic; eleven grandchildren, Theresa Myres, Suzanne Dallen, Heather Abbe, Megan, Kelsey and Matthew Preston, Seth, Samuel, Haley and Sydney Groves and Kevin Burton; six great-grandchildren, Shane and Brady Myers, Tyler and Quinton Dallen, Clinton Starks and Nicholas Abbe; one brother, Tom Eslick and wife, Pat, of Sioux City; two aunts, Myra Boucher and Ruth Chaussee of Sioux City; one uncle, Ray Chaussee of Sioux City; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant sons, Wesley and Kendall.Funeral InformationServices for Clifford will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic, Iowa on Thursday, August 1, 2002, at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Bryan Anderson of the Evangelical Free Church in Greenfield, Iowa officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
