Judith "Judy" Ann Elwood (Frizzell)

Judy Elwood, 79, of Atlantic, Iowa, died Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Atlantic Specialty Care.

Visitation with the family present will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19th at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic. A graveside service will be held following the visitation on Thursday at 2:30 p.m., at the Oakwood Cemetery in Lewis. The family has requested masks be worn at the visitation and service.

Judy was born on October 10, 1941 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Lyle and Betty (Prall) Frizzell. She was raised in Oakland and Griswold, Iowa, where she graduated high school in 1959. Judy moved to Omaha and raised her children there. While in Omaha she attended Metro Community College and worked in telemarketing while studying psychology. She then graduated from truck driving school. She had many hobbies that included making dreamcatchers, crocheting and spending time with loved ones.

Judy will be deeply missed by her partner, Larry Winters of Atlantic; sister, Sandy Easter of Lewis; children, Lora Gandara & husband, Daniel of Utah, Patti Zimmerman of Kentucky, Brett Elwood of Omaha, Jeff Elwood & wife Nikki of Omaha; grandchildren, Jessie and Samuel Gandara, Grace Stroud & husband Devan, all of Utah, Jenna Elwood of Omaha, and Cade and Kelly Elwood of Omaha.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Keith Frizzell; daughter, Kala Elwood; son, David Elwood; and grandson, Nic Zimmerman.

Judy was a very loving and caring mother that will be missed dearly.
