James Dreyer

James Dreyer, 45, of Atlantic passed on Thursday, July 3, 2003 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.James Dreyer was born May 9, 1958 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Duane William and Sally Ann (Rusch) Dreyer. He grew up in Humboldt and graduated from high school in 1976. He was a state championship wrestler in 1976. On July 1, 1977, James was married to Lisa Marie Stahl in Humboldt. He attended and wrestled at Utah State University in Logan, Utah, graduating in 1982. Following his graduation they moved to Monroeville, Alabama to work for Vanity Fair Corporation. In 1990, James accepted a job with DeLongs as plant manager in Atlantic, Iowa. He was always involved with community and school activities.Survivors include his wife Lisa; two sons Chad and his wife Tara and Cole of Atlantic; one daughter Courtney of Atlantic; two brothers Jack and his wife René and Jeff and his wife Ranae both from Humboldt; one uncle Roger Dreyer and his wife Marlene of Texas plus several nieces and nephews.James was preceded in death by his parents Duane and Sally Dreyer.Funeral InformationServices for Jim will be held on Monday, July 7, 2003, at 11:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt, Iowa with Reverend Jerry Raether officiating. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery at Humboldt, Iowa.
