Obituary for Mildred Edith Dory

Mildred Edith Dory, 91, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Friday evening, June 29, 2001 in Corvallis, Montana.The daughter of Andrew Charles and Carrie (Wernich) Kaiser, Mildred was born January 20, 1910 northeast of Lewis, Iowa. She attended country school through the eighth grade and graduated from Lewis High School with the class of 1928. She continued her education in obtaining an R.N. degree in nursing and was employed at the Atlantic Hospital for many years. She married Fred Dory on March 18, 1939. They made their home in the Lewis and Atlantic areas until 1963 when they moved to Rogers, Arkansas and there she became an industrial nurse. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Rogers, Arkansas.Surviving are her daughter, Marilyn Pennington and her husband, Alfred, of Corvallis, Montana; two sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Atlantic, Iowa and Corrine Gunderson of Auburn, Washington; one son-in-law, Jim Peterson of Texas; three brothers, Duane Kaiser and his wife, Neva, of Lewis, Iowa, Roy Kaiser and his wife, Marian, of Springdale, Arkansas, and James Kaiser and his wife, Thelma, of Florence, Mississippi; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; and a large number of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Judith Ann Peterson; three brothers, Bernard Kaiser, who was lost at sea during World War II, Edwin Kaiser and Earl Kaiser.Funeral InformationServices for Mildred were held Friday, July 6, 2001 at 10:30 AM at the Roland Funeral Home with Reverend Chuck Smith of Atlantic officiating.Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Lewis, Iowa.
