Alice I. Donahue
Alice Ilogene (Jean) Donahue, age 85, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 2, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Home in Millard, Nebraska. Jean was born February 7, 1919 in Atlantic, Iowa to George and Agnes (Guttenfelder) Baxter. She was raised in Atlantic and attended the Atlantic schools. On March 26, 1938, she was married to Paul R. Bartley in Maryville, MO. They moved to Omaha and to this union three children were born. Paul passed away on April 20, 1965. Jean remarried on February 4, 1967 to James E. Donahue. Jean was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed music, especially Tony Bennett. Jean is survived by her husband, James E. Donahue; a daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Roger Klingbeil of Euless, TX; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Sharon Bartley of Bullhead City, AZ; a daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Tony Brown of Yutan, NE; a brother George Burdette Baxter of Atlantic, IA; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Bartley and her parents, George and Agnes Baxter.
