In her younger years, she taught Sunday school and Bible school. She and Gale enjoyed traveling to many states, Canada, and Africa. They also enjoyed attending their grandchildren’s sporting events and FFA activities.

Survivors include her sons, Stephen (Linda) Dolch of Morton's Mill/Villisca; Vincent (Becky) Dolch, also of Morton’s Mill, and W. Mark (Priscilla) of Story City; grandchildren, Matthew (Fiancée Bryttni Westlake), Michael, Marshall, Mikayla, Clark, Jared, Dylan, Loren (Laura), Kara (Fiancé, Justin Griggs), and Dana Dolch. She is also survived by two sisters, Arlene Jahnke of Atlantic and Betty (Dula) Thompson of Lewis, one sister-in-law, Janet Dolch of Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
