Janet L. Dolch (England)
Janet Lee Dolch, the daughter of Shelby and Maxine (Hamlin) England, was born August 14, 1934, on the family farm southwest of Griswold in the Kemling neighborhood.
Janet attended Rosehill Country School through the 8th grade. She graduated from Griswold High School with the class of 1953. On May 1, 1953, she was united in marriage to Boyd W. Dolch at the Noble Center Church. They enjoyed farm life together, and cared for and raised many animals including deer, fox, raccoons, squirrels, dogs and birds. Janet had a very green thumb; her plants and flowers were beautiful. After retiring from the farm, Janet and Boyd moved to Cumberland. Boyd passed away November 29, 2009, and Janet continued to make her home in Cumberland until the time of her death.
Janet passed away February 14, 2017, at her home at the age of 82 years and six months.
Janet is survived by her children: Randy (Karla) Dolch of Cumberland, IA, Deborah (Kelly) Harris of Bennington, NE and Max (Terri) Dolch of Council Bluffs, Iowa; her grandchildren: Brian, Matthew, Laura, Tyler and Spencer; and great grandsons, Hayden and Landen. Also, her sister Norma Liddell and husband, Duane and brother, Max England and wife, Sherry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her grandson, Jeff.
A time for viewing and visitation with the family will be held on Friday evening, February 17th, at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, from five to seven p.m. Graveside memorial services will take place Monday, February 20th, ten o'clock a.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery, Cumberland, Iowa.
