Tim Denham

Tim Denham, 51, of Atlantic passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2003 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.The son of Dr. Ray and Helen (Byers) Denham, Tim was born in Ames on March 11, 1952. He grew up in Cumberland and graduated from C&M school in 1970. Tim graduated from Wayne State College with a degree in Education. He married Judy Shold, with whom he had two children, Brian and Matt. He taught Physical Education and coached football, baseball, and track for several years.Tim married Cathy Heithoff in 1998. They have been co-owners of Interior Touch here in Atlantic. He was currently president of Atlantic Golf & Country Club, a member of the Elks Club and the High School Athletic Association. Tim will be remembered as an awesome dad, a loving husband, an avid golfer and an all-around wonderful man.He is survived by his wife Cathy Denham of Atlantic; sons; Brian Denham of Des Moines, Matthew Denham of Iowa City, Tom Watson of Atlantic; Dan Watson of Atlantic; his mother Helen P. Denham of Omaha; sisters, Kathy Cullen and husband Francis of Cumberland, Deb Wohlenhaus and husband Fred of Omaha, Nebraska; a brother Tom and wife Janet Denham of Elkhorn, Nebraska, and nieces and nephews; Uncle Wayne and Aunt Ruth Denham of Cumberland and Aunt Joan Cornell of Cumberland; cousins Doug Denham and wife Kathy of Ankeny, and Janet Barr and husband Jeff, Todd Denham, and Julie Denham all of Illinois; parents-in-law Floyd and Edna Heithoff of Atlantic; brother-in-law Curt and wife Kim Heithoff of Council Bluffs, sisters-in-law Cindy and John Winsted of Englewood, Colorado, Diane and Elmer Grunst of Bailey, Colorado, Becky and Tony Zablocki of Atlantic, and several nieces and nephews.Tim was preceded in death by his father Dr. C.R. Denham and grandparents Burt and Ada Denham and Charles and Gladys Byers.Funeral InformationServices for Tim will be held on Monday, July 7, 2003, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic with Reverend Chuck Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
