Ellen Marie Davis Elba, Nebraska native Ellen Marie (Taylor) Davis passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the Weatherly Inn (care center) in Tacoma, Washington. She was 83. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on May 29, 1926 to Roy D. and Ellen M. (Jacobsen) Taylor. She was raised in Elba from the age of two. Valedictorian of her class, she graduated from Elba High School in 1944. She married Klif Riggs in 1949. Her second marriage on January 1, 1982 was to J. Gilbert Davis, whom she survived by nine months. For the last decade of their lives, she and her husband resided in Casper, Wyoming. Before retiring there, she and Mr. Davis had lived in Alaska, Arizona and Dubai. They had traveled around the world twice. She is survived by a younger brother, Roy D. Taylor and three daughters, Carol Leigh Williams, Elizabeth Marie Riggs and Jeanne Ellen Riggs.
