Dana Cisar

Dana Cisar, 53, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at her home.

Dana Marie was born on October 6, 1968, in Red Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Jimmy and Mary Evelyn (Carson) Lucky. On July 18, 1992, she married James “Dick” Richard Cisar Jr., and they lived together in Red Oak and Atlantic. She always treated Dick’s two children, Jessica and Scott as her own and was overjoyed when she found out she was expecting her son, Tanner.

Dana was a cat lover; rescuing and providing loving care to many cats through the years. She redecorated at the change of seasons and took great pride in making her house a home. If you visited her for Thanksgiving and Christmas there was no doubt that she had gone all out from the decor to the food.

Dana was very family oriented; a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She could barely contain her excitement when she found out she was going to be a grandma. Dana's loving personality made it easy to be her friend; she truly cared about everyone that entered her life. Her family and friends brought her an abundance of happiness!

Dana will be deeply missed by husband, Dick; sons, Tanner Cisar and his significant other, Brooke and Scott Cisar and his significant other, Davitta; daughter, Jessica Boyce; grandchildren, Nate, Baileigh, Kaitlynn, Adisyn, Savannah, Jeffrey, Gabby, and Oliver; sister, Vickie Lucky; brothers, John Lucky, Mark Lucky and David Lucky; father-in-law, James “Jim” Cisar and his significant other, Janis; sister-in-law, Shelly Shuffler and her significant other, Fred; and many extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Mary Lucky; mother-in-law, Carolyn Sue Cisar; grandson, Anthony Appley; brother, Timmy Lucky; and sister-in-law, Velma Cisar.

Dana’s untimely and unexpected passing is difficult to process but she would want everyone that loved her to think of all the wonderful memories and remember her with a great amount of love and happiness. Dana was a blessing in so many ways; she will be truly missed.
