Leonard Crozier

Leonard Crozier, 84, of Atlantic, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa. Leonard Gail Crozier was born on a farm south of Anita, on August 13, 1923, the son of Byron and Lena (Aupperle) Crozier. He attended school in Anita graduating in 1940. On April 26, 1943 he married Betty Lamberty in Omaha, Nebraska. They farmed in the Anita area and then in 1961, they moved to their farm east of Bridgewater in Adair County. Leonard retired from farming in 1993. He was a member of the Saint Paul"s Lutheran Church.Leonard will be remembered for his love of farming and his dedication to his work, always striving for perfection. He was especially proud of his yard. Survivors include his wife Betty of 64 years; his daughters Connie Anderson of Omaha and Janet Bremholm and husband Chuck of Katy, Texas; four grandsons, Craig Anderson and wife Joyce of Lincoln, Nebraska, Dan Anderson and wife Gina of Omaha, Nebraska, Kevin Bremholm and wife Kristen of Katy, Texas and Kyle Bremholm and wife Julie of Anchorage, Alaska; and five great grandchildren, Macy, Keegan, Andrea, Mitchel and Kierstyn Anderson. Also surviving are his brother Ralph Crozier and wife Virginia of Adair, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Morris and Carolyn Wilson of Atlantic, Iowa and John and Bernese Lamberty of Mesa, Arizona, and Cleo Lamberty of Norfolk, Virginia. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral InformationThe family will meet with relatives and friends at a visitation in the Roland Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:00. The funeral will be held in Saint Paul"s Lutheran Church at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, January 5. Pastor Dennis Meyer and Pastor Sally Meyer will officiate. A committal service will be in the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic, Iowa. Friends and relatives are invited back to the church for a light lunch following the interment.
