Lucille Elizabeth (Comstock) Allman (Doolittle)
Lucille Elizabeth (Comstock) Allman, 89, a resident ot the Griswold Care Center, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2002, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic.
The daughter of Elmer and Myrtle McBride Doolittle, she was born March 20, 1913, in Carson, Iowa and graduated from the Carson High School in 1929, at the age of sixteen. She was united in marriage to Jack Allman, February 3, 1932, at the Albany, Missouri and they moved to Carson in 1940. The couple farmed there for two years before moving to Avoca where they lived until 1946. The farmed around Walnut until 1952 when they moved to Atlantic. In 1986, Lucille married Leonard Comstock. Following their marriage, they lived in Tarkio, Missouri. Leonard passed away in 1992 then Lucille moved back to Atlantic.
Lucille is survived by one daughter, Jean Holst, and her husband, Gaylan, of Griswold, IA; one son, Jim Allman, and his wife, Jody, of Alta Loma, CA; one daughter-in-law, Norma Pittman, of Albany, IL; six grandchildren, Alan Holst and wife, Terri, of Council Bluffs, IA, Brian Holst and wife, Maria, and Darran Holst, all of Omaha, NE, Randy Allman and wife, Dana, of Bedford, IA, Todd Allman and wife, Michelle, and Stacey Bukowski, all of Alta Loma, CA; ten great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin and Crystar Allman, Sarah and Nathan Holst, Zane, Chase and Braydon Allman, and Sloan and Gary Bukowski; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jack Allman; her second husband, Leonard Comstock; three brothers, Kyle, Russell and Dale Doolittle; and a sister, Marie Hartman.
