Paul Clifford

Paul B. Clifford, 86, a long time resident of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Friday evening April 5, 2013 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic.
Paul was born on October 9, 1926 in Coon Rapids, Iowa, to Joseph and Mildred (Raebuck) Clifford. He attended school in the Coon Rapids area where he graduated from high school. Paul was married to Juanita Katherine (Bannister) Clifford at the Cass County Court House in Atlantic, Iowa August 20, 1960.
The couple was blessed with three children, Donald, Sandra and Lisa. Paul held many jobs, including Campbell Soup Company in Omaha, NE, Pepsi Co. and Coca Cola Co. in Omaha, and 7 Up Bottling Co in Peoria, IL. He worked as a janitor at a youth center in San Diego, CA and was employed with Valley Feed and Fuel in Madera, CA.
Paul was a hard worker and always took care of and provided for his family. He retired in Atlantic where he mowed yards and took little side jobs to stay busy until he no longer was able to work. He has lived the last two years with his grandson, Dial Bolin and his wife Mandy, on Linn Street, until he passed away. Paul served as a medic in the United States Army through the end of WWII and during the Korean War.
He will be remembered as quiet natured but would always laugh at his family's jokes and put in his two cents worth - telling some of his own. "Dad's personality was based on whatever Mom said needed to be done. If Mom said move, Dad moved." He was very funny and surprised his children with how he could always remember dates
His survivors include three children and seventeen grand children and thirty great grand children: his son Donald Lee Clifford of Atlantic; his daughter Sandra Dee Bolin and boyfriend Jose Interino, and her four children, of Atlantic; Tammy Lee Bolin and husband Steven Mahan, and four children, of Atlantic; Dial Larry Amador Bolin and wife Mandy, and ten children, of Atlantic, Melissa Bolin and boyfriend Steven Morris, and two children, of Atlantic; and Tracy Lynn Bolin and boyfriend Andrew Mututa, and two daughters of Omaha; and daughter Lisa Ann Aguilar and husband Antonio Aguilar, of Madera, CA, and their six children, Stacy & husband Mike Zuniga, and two children of Pasadena, TX, David Anthony Aguilar and wife Malinee Cha of Madera and their five children, Anthony Aguilar and his girlfriend Tiffany Madrigal and their four children, Antonio Aguilar Jr. and wife Michaele Aguilar of Madera and their two boys, Laura Antonia Aguilar of Madera and her little boy, and Monica Katherine Aguilar and her boyfriend John Driscoll of Scottsdale, AZ.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife Juanita of Atlantic; his parents, Joseph and Mildred Clifford; and his four brothers, Lynn Clifford of AZ, Keith Clifford of IA, Lyle Clifford of MI and Clair Clifford (where-abouts currently unknown).
